Hi,
So I was invited to join the BFS Scholars for Engineering program. I was wondering what value the program has because it doesn’t seem to be the only honors program on the campus. I am forced to live in the Quad as a freshman should I choose to accept it. Would I be making a mistake declining the offer in order to live somewhere else, say the Hill?
It’s an honors on top of being at Penn and it offers smaller classes that relaxed large gen eds plus the offerings are fascinating - look at what’s offered this semester and what will be offered in the Fall.
You are only required to take 3 BFS seminars as a BFS scholar, so it is not really a high commitment for a honor program. It is definitely worth it unless you planning on doing other honor programs that require too much works.
You are not required to live in the Quad, if you are an ENGINEERING BFS. Please email the BFS coordinator listed on your invitation letter if you have questions regarding the program.
