Nice Congrats. Can you share some details so other may benefit?
My son who applied last year is a white male in the Boston suburbs with test scores between 1400-1450, decent GPA, good ECs. and didn’t get any $$. Thought for sure he would get something. He ended up going to Northeastern as he felt it was a better over all value for the same price, and a better fit.
I think Bentley is tightening it’s belt as they find it’s harder nowadays for area kids to gain acceptance to Northeastern, BC,BU, Babson and they don’t need to entice the kids to enroll there with $$. For some of the local kids shut out everywhere else, Bentley is their last chance to stay local and attend a quality business program located near Boston.
Good luck to you all.
Congrats @ochang07 ! Did you apply ED? I didn’t realize ED decisions were out yet.
My S applied last yr (received 1/2 tuition merit) with mid 1420 SAT and 3.95 GPA (UW) with many APs and honor classes (basically all you can take at his high school). Lots of great ECs, leadership, etc.
However, I think the reason he got the scholarship is due to us living in FL. Bentley is trying to expand its brand. It does a great job in New England (and the northeast in general). It also does surprisingly well internationally. They seem to have missed the focus on US outside of the northeast and must be using merit to attract other areas.
to add some stats,
gpa: 4.09 at small public high school
sat (out of 1600): 1290
3 APs during high school and all honors class
theater, show choir, multiple school clubs, job outside of school working with students with mental disabilities
i was awarded the 1/3 tuition merit scholarship
for the person who started this thread, id guess youd get the same as me or the 1/2 tuition
just realized they changed the merit scholarships… good luck anyways!

What state are you located in?
Based on what your SAT was, I doubt your from MA. I also believe Bentley uses the scholarship $$$ to attract out of staters.
Hi everyone. Now that decisions are out, could people share if merit is still 1/2 tuition 1/3 tuition like it used to be or is it a dollar amount?
My daughter was a dollar amount $15k/year.
I have heard $15 a year, $30 a year and 1 person got full tuition. So it looks like they have moved away from the 1/3 and 1/2 tuition scholarships
Right, I see that too. I guess it saves them money, because when tuition goes up, the scholarship no longer goes up.
Just opened my portal and saw that I was accepted with the Provost Scholarship. I tried looking on Bentley’s website but couldn’t find any information about it. What is the scholarship for and is it something everyone gets?
@NE_Pats12
It is a merit based scholarship based on many factors such as gpa and SAT/ACT scores and not everyone gets it. I don’t think there are set guidelines at least I haven’t seen any. From what I’ve read they have the Provost at $15k, Founders at $25k, Presidential at $30k and full tuition with the Trustees Scholarship.
My S was accepted. He got 5k merit. It is called the Deans scholarship. 5k against high 60k total cost does not move the needle much.
My D was accepted - honors program and Presidential scholarship at a set $30/ year, capped at $120 total
@lenvo65 congrats to your D! Could you provide her stats? It would be helpful in determining what the benchmarks are for merit
Weighted GPA: 4.39 (School does not show unweighted or rank)
SAT: 710 English,760 Math
3 SAT subject tests - 670 to 770 on those
Took a very demanding course load - 8 APs, 2 college level course
2 Sport Varsity Athlete (but not pursing college varsity), Many other EC’s with leadership Roles, state awards for Vocal performance
Does anyone know how or when Bentley announces Women’s Leadership Program admission?
@lenvo65 it is a separate letter that can be found under your admissions decision. They have let everyone in the program know if they received it I’m pretty sure
Someone just posted about the “Dean’s” scholarship. $5K. So it looks like they replaced their old 1/3 tuition, 1/2, tuition, 3/4 tuition and full tuition scholarships with whole dollar scholarships:
Dean’s at 5K,
Provost at $15k,
Founders at $25k,
Presidential at $30k (3.25 GPA to keep it)
Trustee at Full Tuition
Then there is the Women’s Leadership award for 10K a year, which according to some posters who won this, does stack with the above whole dollar scholarships.
The website has no information on these scholarships
If anyone has the GPAs required to keep these scholarships, we could have that all here for future applicants. I only saw the GPA for presidential.
