I accepted to Berea with a 4-year scholarship, and waited at Manhanttanville. The deadline for replying Berea is coming and I still cannot decide which is better.

Berea is good and friendly but the area is isolated and poor.
Manhattanville is near NY and my friend is also studying there.

What should I do? If you were I, what should you choose?

Call the Manhattanville Admissions Office. Ask to speak to an Admissions officer or the VP for Admissions. Explain that you would like to come to Mville where you are waitlisted but the deadline for Berea is approaching. Ask if Mville can make a decision on you promtly. Be polite, clear, speak briefly but precisely and politely. Your interest might prompt attention to your application and a decision, especially if you have good grades.

Accept the offer from Berea. You can consider withdrawing from Berea if you are eventually admitted to Manhattenville and can afford to attend. Waitlist admission offers are almost always made after the May 1 reply deadline because colleges need to see how many of their regular admits decided to attend before they can accept students off the waitlist.
