Bergen County Academies

BA is overrated. Cresskill, Tenafly, and both NV are way better than BA. BA is just lame.

however i would go for culinary and hotel.

The business school....i couldn't imagine going to a specialized school again. If you go into say the engineering school thinking you want to do that, but then during junior year decide you wnat to go into a different field you sill have 2 more years of engineering and a stupid senior project to complete. (sorry, personal rant right there)

BA is doing horribly in college placements recently -- even the most qualified are getting deferred/rejected.

really...i take back what I said then...hm...maybe culinary. when i was in 8th grade that is what I wanted and I would still love it.

got rejected from BA, got accepted to the Academies at Englewood and BT. just moved from pal pk to cresskill in 8th grade..

The Bergen Academies are a good school for individuals living in a town that provides poor/mediocre public education. Many Bergen County towns have excellent public education, such as Cresskill and Tenafly as jimgotkp mentioned.

Yeah, but I lived in Bergenfield at the time.....and yeah.
BA was my best option, haha.

But now, no worries, my new school system is on the nicer side.

tenafly is good, but public school is still public school, and has limited resources.
although i must say that we didn't do as well as expected this year in terms of ivy acceptances and MIT (all EA deferred, 5/30 applicants in AAST accepted).
