I wish we had something like that around where I live. The closest thing is a metro school thing, but only the upcoming freshman class can go (I'm going to be a sophomore).

i dont live in Bergen County anymore but two of my friends do go there and they are super smart. but they say there are smarter students than themselves but some others who aren't so smart....

no, visual and performing arts is closer to a school for those kids who otherwise hav etoo low gpas and scores in entrance exams in middle school. they are creative, sure, but dont perform as well as the other academies and often just go to an acting/performing college.

ABF, business and finance, is the closest thing to humanitities based.

haha still... i would apply for sci and tech even though i'll probably end up going into business... but i'd rather learn about sci and technology than business :P... does that make sense?

i actually got into visual and performing arts and business and finance. I would have gone to VPA. But, I moved between 8th/9th grades, to Rockland County-NY. I still have a bunch of friends that go there, they're all sophmores and juniors now

apparently my current school district is ranked higher than the Academies, so whatever

I do think that I might have been able to pursue arts to a greater extent there though, because the school would specialize in it. oh well.
