There are other posters in this forum worse than you.

I agree with you. (about post 139)

Am I a hostile jerk?

let the reader decide.

Daderoo: That's the compliment of the day.

Drab: haha, funny post: the bit about the 139.

CotoDeCasa: how do you say yes in 49 different languages?

If you don't mind, could someone post on Berk's MCB vs. Bio at UCLA.

I don't need statistics. I just want some insight.

Ok, so I'm a hostile jerk. I can live with that. But who made dadaroo the thread police? "Let this tread die" Thank you for you're oppinion on the fate of this or any thread, but you're not Commodus and you don't have the authority to give a thumbs up or thumbs down to a thread. If you don't like the tone of a thread or of certain posters, I'd say you'd be better suited in another thread.

Ah, yes, the real players come on stage. Not as a member of the thread police but as a Cal fan and alum, I suggested, "As for the bashers, the fans should ignore them and let their threads die." Those who hate Cal should memorize G&S's every post. Also, I am not the grammar or spelling police, but at some point writing things like "oppinion" for the 20th time becomes an embarrassment.

As embarrassing as being a 50 year old who still plays on the internet with a bunch of 18 year olds? Hmm, tough call. As for my mispellling of wordz, pleaze feel free to folow me around and corect my mizztakes if you feel the need. After all, this will all be graded. Remember grades? Those things you got back in the 60's when you were in school?

You are correct that I have more time for this than my college age child, who has more important things to do. I'm astonished that you don't. For the record, as a Boalt alum, I would never have let him go to Cal undergrad, or Harvard either. He has a dearth of the requisite sum of arrogance, self-assurance, whatever, that it takes for those schools, undergrad. He will do well at his choice of Stanford, Dartmouth, Yale or a few others.

Good for him. Nobody's advocating for him to come here, and I'm sure he'll enjoy any of those choices. As far as how I spend my time, that's simple. I multitask. Yes, I've come up with way to both study and play on the internet. I guess I just have that requisite sum of arrogance and self-assurance that lets me get away with it.

Daderoo is a father? I thought he was in high school and applying to universities. I see what the "Dad" bit in Daderoo means now.

I've got to go.( be back in two years.)

Final thought

west vs east

Stanford =Harvard of the west

Berkeley = Yale of the west

UCLA=Princeton of the west

USC =Columbia of the west

Caltech=MIT of the west

and I think west is winning.

Most of these supposed equalities do not seem very equivalent to me, without regard to which might in some way be better.

Are you seriously comparing Berkeley, UCLA, and USC to Yale, Princeton and Columbia.

wow the thread certainly drifted a lot after 150 posts.
rather than just statistics what about campus life: parties, students..
also graduate school chances for Medschool (MD) + Business (MBA) double major?

i have a feeling daderoo isnt a dad (re:#149)

Smokey...no, he was comparing them in jest. What kind of ridiculous question is that?

I'd say those comparisons are fair, if we were forced to compare the East and West.

coto is it true that you don't attend ucla or cal? why are you so attached to posting your propaganda??? berkeley =/= yale, ucla =/= princeton, usc =/= columbia. why do you keep making crazy illogical posts?

I would think that two types of posters most appropriately belong here. Those who might want to attend a particular school someday and those who know something relevant about a school. Why would you think that current students have a monopoly on such information?
