r0xing, I am SOOO @berkeley.edu

if anyone wants to use outlook, i found this to be helpful in setting it up: https://kb.berkeley.edu/jivekb/entry!default.jspa?categoryID=4&externalID=412&fromSearchPage=true

TOO LAZY TO MAKE A NEW THREAD, SO.......................

ok i have a problem: i've had my SIR submitted for almost 2 weeks and i still can't make a calmail account. i get past the 'authenticate' button (because my calnet ID does work) but then it asks for a username and password, like i've already created one... (i haven't). i have no idea what's going on and the IT guy i called said that that was for making up a username and password. well, i made something up on the spot and made a password up, typed them in, and it just tells me that the username/password aren't correct!!!!

help, anyone?????

^^^ When I created my calmail account, I had to re-do it about 5 times because I didn't quite understand what they wanted for a password. That might be what is happening to you, or perhaps you are trying to use a username that is already taken (try adding a number to the end of your username). For the password, note that you not only need a combo of numbers and letters, but at least one other "different" thing, such as one or two upper case letters like this: mAy19o8
Or something a bit less obvious, of course.

well, whenever i try to make up a new username/password, i keep getting the same message:

"The login and/or password that you supplied were not correct or did not grant access to this resource."

i don't get how it can be a WRONG u.n./p.w., if i haven't even CREATED one yet. grrrrr....

but thanks for the input thatgirltoo :)

I might be a bit late in figuring this out, but I'm a spring admit that was able to create my Cal e-mail address a couple of days ago. Looks like we're finally in the system.

cccbound...that is great, now you guys (spring admits) can get on the berkeley network on facebook and join the class of 2010 transfer group =)
