I'm planning to go to med school for grad studies. The problem is, I heard that it is better to attend an easy school and get the marks you need than go for a top-notch school and not get the grades required.

I'm choosing between Berkeley and NYU as of now... I heard that it is more competitive at Berkeley and it will be harder for me to stand out from the rest (due to the large admitted pool). On the other hand, NYU is a smaller university and will be able to provide a better learning environment for undergrad.

Which one should I go for? Any suggestions? (anyone who goes to Berkeley or NYU aiming for med school?)

btw, I'm waitlisted for chicago and will like to go there if I'm taken off the waitlist...will I encounter the same problem though?
