I've been accepted to Berkeley and NYU. I plan to major in biochemistry/molecular biology/cellular biology....and do a pre-med track. My ultimate goal is to attend medical school. I think I am more interested in research than in being a physician.

Which school would provide me with greater resources, research opportunities, and overall better education? Also, does anyone know any rankings for the undergraduate programs at Berkely and NYU for anything biology related?

I'm having a hard time gauging the two schools. I would appreciate any insight.

Well, LaxAttack09, I don't know that he would be 'wasting tons of money.' Seems to me that the OP is out-of-state (from Florida), in which case, presuming no financial aid, Berkeley and NYU would cost basically the same.

Having said that, I think I would still give Berkeley the edge. Berkeley is a bigger name, with more research opportunities, and a higher average quality of student.

berkeley simply because the OP is interested in research and not med school.
if med school is an issue, then you gotta go wherever you'll get the best grades.
