Berkeley, Stanford, Vanderbilt, Ivies?

I'm interested in what you think my chances are at some of the Ivies, like Yale and Harvard, as well as Berkeley, Stanford, and Vanderbilt.

You have amazing scores but you lack in ECs… a lot. You don’t show much passion or initiative in them and therefore you lack much of a hook, which really matters nowadays. Berkeley would be your best shot out of the top 4 because they really look at scores.

I was also thinking about financial aid. What do you think my chances are at getting a full ride to a state school? Michigan, Ohio State, Illinois, etc.

You’re in the running. Your Val/36 certainly gives you a hot lottery ticket. Now you need to make your application jump out of the stack.

I think your in at Berkley for sure, the 36 ACT will help you there. Your SAT IIs are a little on the lower end for Stanford, Harvard, and Yale. Your ECs like, phillip mentioned, are lacking which will pose a huge problems in the ivies. I’d say 45% chance that you’ll get into at least one of the top ivies. Make sure your essays pop you out- don’t just write about school, scores, etc; make it unique and interesting, so that when the admission officers walk out the door they will remember your topic. Make their day with a solid essay and heck you might be the 36 ACT with few ECs they’ll accept :).

Chance me?

Your in everhwhere except Harvard, Yale, and Stanford as of now.
Make that App jump out and that will be your ticket to those three schools. Your Numbers get you in the running, but then again, all those applicants have great numbers. Write some good essays!
