Berkeley Transcript Verification

Is anyone still waiting for Berkeley to verify their transcripts? I sent mine like 3 months ago and they still say "In Review" on myBerkeleyApp. It makes me a little uneasy that they have not yet verified them. Thanks.

Yeah, mine are all still In Review. No need to worry!

@Freetofly112‌

OK cool, thanks for the response. I hope it’s done soon because it’s weird that our offers are still conditional this close to the begging of school.

I remember reading somewhere on the facebook group that it’ll be “Final” in November

@hairlesscow‌

November?! So we will be in school for 2 months before we even know our acceptance are final? That is so crazy to me.

My transcripts and IGETC were verified and marked “Final” today.

Same here! They’re making progress.

@calbro‌
@oongaboonga‌

Oh wow alright well congratulations to you guys! That’s good news and I hope mine get finalized soon. I’ve been checking like everyday

@music1990‌

Berkeley really likes keeping you guys on the edge. :D

@Cayton‌

Lol it’s so out of control how long we have to wait for Cal. It would suck so bad if they found something wrong and declined our offer at this point haha. I bet you guys found out really quick or something for UCLA huh?

@music1990‌

I was sorely tempted earlier to make a joke about how much earlier UCLA acknowledged the receipt of my final transcripts, but that’s kind of mean. :P

I’m sure you’ll be fine, though. If you’re really worried, perhaps you can call your admissions officer to verify the receipt of your final transcripts. He/she should have access to that information.

@Cayton‌

Oh I know you’re always ready to take a shot at Cal. Classic Cayton. Nice restraint though.

And yeah maybe I will give her a call, although I suspect I’ll just be told to be patient. That’s pretty much what I’m always told when I try to contact admissions. Doesn’t matter what the topic is.

@music1990‌

Maybe you can contact the department that oversees transcripts, whatever that’s called.

I’d also suggest visiting the school in person, but I’m not sure if you can do that. Will that be inconvenient for you?

@Cayton‌

I could maybe do that, but I kind of doubt they will tell me anything other than to wait. They always seem really busy and I just feel like a burden

@music1990‌

No student should feel like a burden to their school. If it isn’t inconvenient to go to Berkeley, then it wouldn’t hurt to try.

If they feel burdened for dealing with students, then so be it. They have an obligation to serve you.

I just checked mine and it says reviewed and final so happy! :slight_smile: However, the AP scores are still not there… But I have proof that I sent them two months ago (just in case) :slight_smile:

@ucastell‌

Interesting. My AP scores are already up but my transcripts still say in review :/

@ocnative, mine doesn’t say anything… I haven’t received any email from them asking for the scores. I simply sent them on June they even sent out an email saying that AP scores were going to arrive late to not worry about it (I double checked with the college board website and it said the same thing). I also received another email from financial aid today letting me know that my financial aid was finally completed, and just got another email today for housing with the details about move in day… everything seems to be okay :slight_smile: it’s starting to get real haha.

@ocnative, as a matter of fact I received a call from my RA and she seemed pretty nice we talked for almost an hr haha, and I just found out who my roommates are from the email I received from UC Berkeley housing. So don’t worry about your transcripts (you sent them before the deadline so you should be fine) just enjoy the fact that you got into CAL :slight_smile:

My guess is that they quickly look through them and confirm they’ve arrived and nothing is horribly wrong, but don’t do the full evaluation for credits until November.
