hi , i m planning on tranfering to berkeley .i just wanted to know how difficult it is for an out of state student to get in.
when i went to berkeley's site i saw that at least 90 quarter units are required to transfer.so can anyone explain what is quarter units, i have a semester system in my college. i m a freshman in UT austin engineering .please can anyone help me. thanks

bump
weird nobody replied

90 quarter units = 60 semester units.

Transferring in from out of state isn't impossible. I've met tons of out of state transfers. It depends more on the major/dept you're transferring into. If it's a competitive/impacted major, it will be hard to get into regardless of whether you're in or out of state.

thanks for the reply
actually i m in electrical engineering . i think its really hard to get into the engineering school.

currently i have taken 14 credit hours n 11 AP credits along with it.
how many quarter units is that . sorry i didnt get it.

It depends on who is calculating it. By AP do you mean college board advanced placement? If so, go to the college of engineering website and figure out what counts for you and what doesn't.

As far as getting into the CoE, it is hard (and impacted). Good luck.
