I've been reading through the forums, and there are some posts that say that if you have enough credits, you can transfer. However upon reading the UCB Transfer website, it states that I can only transfer in my junior year.

I will be attending UCSD this fall.
What are the details regarding this transfer process?

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

You need 60 semester (90 quarter) units to be accepted as a transfer. If you’re looking to transfer, check assist.org for your majors pre-reqs, you need to complete those. Be aware that admissions priority for transfers goes to CCC students.

Do you have any more specific questions than that? “I want to transfer” is a pretty broad topic…

@failure622, thanks for the quick reply!

I’m planning to transfer into engineering at Berkeley (yes, I know it’s hard). I read that UCB accepts mainly community college students. Do you happen to know what the chances for that are, and the chances of transferring into engineering are? If I’m planning on attending grad school, should I stay within UCSD?

Thank you so much!
