Berkeley v.s. UCLA v.s. University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, v.s. Georgia Tech for Bioengineering

Hello all,
I am currently trying to decide between these four schools for bioengineering/biomedical. I am really interested in conducting cancer research and was just wondering which ones would give me the best opportunities. I am out of state for all of these schools. That being said, I have a full ride to Michigan, received $35,844 from UCLA($27,014 to attend), and I am still waiting for UC Berkeley and Georgia Tech to finalize my aid. However, I am not sure if Berkeley is giving me aid. I really liked the environment in LA, but I spoke with some people from Berkeley who claimed that their program was better than UCLA (not sure how accurate this may be considering they may be trying to recruit me). I wanted to know if anyone had anything to add about these programs. Thank you!! I also may be considering going into either law school or a PHD/masters program after graduation so any insight would help as to which would help me to succeed. Job opportunities nearby are also an important factor as I will be establishing residency in whichever school I attend.

Cal, GT, Michigan and UDub all have top 10 BME programs. UCLA’s BME department is not quite as good.

I would go to Michigan unless GT or Cal match Michigan’s offer. Attending Michigan for free is a pretty sweet deal. Michigan also has incredible research programs for undergraduates (check out UROP and MRC), and has one of the top Oncology hospitals in the nation.

If money was all the same I would choose Georgia Tech for bioengineering but a full ride to Michigan tops all other schools if you have to shell out $$$$$ .

Full ride to Michigan is the no brainer choice here.
