(Berkeley vs Carnegie vs UCLA vs GATech) + (Pros and Cons of UCB) - From India

Hey Guys,

I still can't believe I got into Berkeley!

It was really on the top of my list. I got rejected from all the 4 ivies but still the joy of being admitted to UCB is more than the rejection regrets!

I have heard a lot about UCB and the fact that it is VERY hard to get into (especially for a guy like me) plus it has a great engineering program.

I have also got into the following:-

1) UCLA
2) Carnegie Mellon
3) UCSD
4) Georgia Tech
5) UIUC
6) Purdue

Have Been reject by Columbia, Dartmouth, Cornell, Upenn, USC, UTAutin, USC etc.

Have been Waitlisted at Washington University St Louis and Duke.

Wanted to know which would you choose and why?
Please feel free to say anything and to the minutest details

I will be visiting 2-4 schools out of these this month.

BTW i'm from New Delhi and an undergraduate Mechanical Engg Applicant!

Thanks Guys

I hate public universities. Since this is only an undergraduate degree, Berkeley and GeorgiaTech aren’t as great. I think I’d be inclined toward Carnegie Mellon.
