Berkeley Vs Cornell

This is a really tough decision for me.
I've got quite a few advices but the results were almost 50:50.

If I go to UC Berkeley I have to go to the College of Natural Resources.
If I go to Cornell I'm going to the College of Engineering.

My problem is if I go to Berkeley, I'm planning to major in Business or/and Engineering. So I will definitely have to change my college to somewhere else other than the College of Natural Resources.
And what I've heard so far is that Berkeley is so competitive especially in Business and Engineering.

How difficult is it to change your college/major in Berkeley?

Also Im planning to go to graduate school so I need good grades which is also hard for Berkeley students.

And is it dumb to turn down an Ivy League, Cornell?
Cornell seems more elite than Berkeley. I like that elite sort of thing but I'm actually quite liberal.

Is Cornell more better or easier? Actually no school is easy but still...

Oh I'm an international. Out of the states.

Do not under-estimate the difficulty of Cornell Engineering.

It is a difficult program, only choose the program if you know you are willing to work.

I'm probably going to Cornell and I have been accepted into A&S Biology but will probably transfer to Ag. and Life to do Biological Engineering in conjunction with the school of engineering.

Being from the East Coast, Cornell has a fantastic reputation here. . . .and UC Berkley has a good reputation, but more so among the academic community than the general public.

I just wanted to make sure you didn't choose cornell because "it's easy" because it will be difficult. The course load is intense and I just felt that you should be made aware of it.

Keep in mind that I'm NOT telling you that you can't handle it, or that it's impossible. I'm just telling you be prepared to work hard, but also recieve a world class education at world class facilities with a world class faculty.

"And is it dumb to turn down an Ivy League, Cornell?"

That depends if, later on in life, you'll feel like you made a mistake by choosing Berkeley over Cornell. Most students would always choose an Ivy+S+M first, followed by everything else. If money is not a big factor, go to Cornell......if Berkeley is giving you half off or something, then it's a tougher decision.

Dude, Berkeley does not let you transfer to the school of engineering from other schools in the university period. Engineering application is consider separate and not transferrable.
