Berkeley vs Notre Dame

<p>Hello guys!</p>

<p>I'm having trouble deciding between these two schools. I'm an aspiring CS/Econ major or possible Math/Econ Major. Anyway I was hoping to get some insight to make a more informed decision.</p>

<p>Berkeley Pros
-Stronger programs
-More diverse
-Better weather</p>

<p>Berkeley Cons
-Tougher competition
-Ghetto area
-Not sure if I will be able to get the CS/ Econ major</p>

<p>Notre Dame Pros
-More intimate/family feel
-Although rigorous, I feel like it would be more lax compared to Berkeley
-Better Financial Aid</p>

<p>Notre Dame Cons
-Not sure how I would fit socially ( I am Asian, not catholic, and not really a big sports fan besides tennis)
-Weather
-Far from home</p>

<p>I’m making the same decision, except I’m not decided on a major yet (leaning towards Sci/Biz). Asian/Catholic/love sports. Visited both schools, choosing ND and I’m beyond stoked about my decision. </p>

<p>What swayed me was the people there, allowing for a less cutthroat environment. Honestly, weather is a nonfactor. Just get some Northface swag and you’ll be fine. Fifty years down the road, I’ll be rootin’ for the Irish; once you’re a part of the family, the Irish blood sticks with you forever.</p>
