I know there are several threads on this, as I've looked at many, but given my particular circumstances/needs, I thought it would be extremely useful to get some opinions.

Prestige is fairly important to me. I know this is really a foolish notion, but it just is; I worked extremely hard in high school and want something to show for it in a way. Again, foolish. Berkeley and UCLA are pretty highly regarded, but I'm not as sure about USC(?)

I am on the east coast (so OOS for the UC's).

I have been offered 1/4 tuition at USC (money, however, is not too big of an object--it may be a slight concern if the deficit at the UC's is really so bad that I couldn't get through in 4 years, but it is not too big of a deal otherwise).

I really like the weather in both Northern and Southern California and am sure I would be comfortable in either place. I would say that I prefer San Fransisco over LA, but I have been to San Fransisco more often, and more recently, so it's hard to say.

I plan on joining a sorority. I'm outgoing.

I am Undecided completely as to my major. It could be anything from Psychology to Political Science--I just honestly have no idea. It would more likely be something in Humanities though.

I know that was a lot but I wanted to give everyone as much information as possible. Any help would be GREAT! I am having an awfully hard time deciding, so thank you so much for your time!
