UCLA or USC?

I've been thinking A LOT about this. I am most likely going to apply to these two universities (amng others), but these are my top two. I'd also like you guys to share your preferences WITHIN the campus, (also the external design) and stuff, not considering the neighbourhood of USC since everybody knows that their location isn't ideal.

I'd like to think of myself as very sporty (swim team captain in HS) and academically smart. (SAT 2000). I'M also completing the IB program, along with many extra curricular activities which would support the visual strength of my application. I'd also like to say that i acknowledged the difference in tuition fees between the two, which however, is no problem, meaning that 4 years of $64,000 would be okay (usc price). ALso, they both have my preferred Major which is Business and minor in English.

It'd be extremeley helpful to me if you could list unique points from each university which would help me make my decision easier - although - anything would really help really, just let me know! :)

Thanks.

Crime at USC is getting out of hand these days.

Both are comparable in reputation. So safety first.

you should not ignore the USC neighborhood, your safety should come 1ST.

Yeah, the area surrounding USC isn’t exactly the nicest. If by external design you mean the campus architecture, they’re both pretty similar–a lot of red brick. Something unique that might be a game changer for one person (eg: location, dorms, 4-year graduation rate, Greek scene) might not matter for another person at all.

Even if you’re in-state, I wouldn’t be so quick to count your chickens before they’ve hatched. I’d wait until you’ve actually applied and heard back from these institutions before you think about making a decision.

Best of luck!

Last I looked, UCLA didn’t have a Business major.

They have a management major which I believe is the same?
