Berkeley Vs washU Vs Northwestern

Alright Honestly where is the best school for Pre-Med student who want to get the best undergrad experience?

I would have to say Cal then NU. Forget WUSL. It’s a great school but I think you won’t get a great college experience there as you would at Cal or NU.

I’d go to Cal if you want the nicest experience overall, but the decision becomes less clear because you’re a premed. Large classes for biology, competitive courses, etc.

Go to whatever university will allow you to get the best grades… Grades are sadly a big factor for Med Schools… so wherever you would get the easiest A’s would be a big consideration. I would also consider going to a univeristy (whether at the university itself or the surrounding area) that gives you access to do things you are passionate about (i.e. lab/research, community work, sports, etc.). Visit all the campuses to make sure they’ll be places you won’t mind spending the next 4 - 5 years of your life - grades/academics are important, but so is the college experience…

I’m not gonna make any suggestions on which specific university though. ;)

I’ve heard of people giving up full rides at Northwestern to do pre-med at Berkeley. I think iCal’s considered the best in the country.

berkeley is the best public school in the world.

Thank you. I dropped Cal and Northwestern (and ivy league schools). It is between NYU 7 year BA/DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) with 27K scholarship Vs. WashU 49K scholarship. the rest is loan.
Khan, you gave me the right answer!

“berkeley is the best public school in the world.”

Maybe for engineering and computer science, it is. But, overall, I believe that feat rightly belongs to the University of Cambridge. Oxford is also slightly superior to Berkeley. I would say Berkeley is 3rd best public school (overall) in the world.
