Best and Worst teachers

Best: for world civ honors.. i had this amazing teacher who made every class so exciting.. she incorporated everyone into each class so you felt like you were actually in the holocaust or french rev.. SHE WAS ALSO SCARY.. she had the sharpest blue eyes ever and when she started staring at you, she wouldnt stop - kind of uncomfortable and awkward

Worst: for physics.. it was march and we had only done 1.5 chapeters out of the book... then he realized that we were "kind of going too slow" and made us learn 10 units in a week! hes an awkward man who likes to eat alot

:O "you felt like you were actually in the holocaust" :O

I don't think I would consider that the "best" teacher.

Best: English I

Worst: AP Euro (does not teach, busy selling things on ebay while we read in class)

Best: tie between my Latin teacher (we work hard, but he incorporates the cutest stories into everything, for example we measured steps in our classroom to demonstrate how a thousand steps can be translated into a mile in Latin) and my Music teacher (who's uber-relaxed, gives everyone 100's, but teaches us A LOT of stuff. She actually cares if we're all stressed out/ready to die/pass out and will move back tests for us!)

Worst: oh God. This is a toughie, but my English teacher this year. We spent literally 6 months doing Scarlet Letter and three for Catcher! She just talks and talks and talks and talks about her life, like we care. And this wouldn't be horrific but her tests and essays ARE INSANE. Nobody gets over a 95, and you need a 90 to be in the junior AP Lang, so yeah she's not a good teacher. She makes her class impossible, and plays crazy favorites.

Best: My physics teacher! He is sooooo witty

Worst: My English teacher. I am sorry to say this but he is the stupidest man alive

Am I your English teacher? :D

are you 35 years old?

Almost. :D /comment/

why hello there Mr. StupidEnglishTeacher

best: my apush and first semester world history teacher. i LOVE her so much. she made class fun and hilarious and got the material across REALLY well. she also held SO SO SO many before and after school review sessions. we pwned the a.p. test because of her.

worst: my spanish III teacher first semester. i swear to god, we did NOTHING in that class. and she's old and cranky.

oooh my jap teachers pretty bad as well.... she thought some kids chem hmwk was a jap wkst and gave him an A on it

oh yea no one in our class does any work.. she just assigns stuff and pretends like we're working.. and she speaks japanglish... she can neither speak jap nor english

Best: n/a

Worst: All of 'em.

Best: World Religions/Drama teacher. Also the drama club adviser and director of the school plays. He's extremely well-read and interesting; he's fluent in Korean (while he's of Scottish descent), raises alpacas, has a PhD, used to be a professor at a major university... And he really loves his students. He cares for us all very much. On the other hand, he cuts NO slack for lazy bums. Very rarely he changes a due date or something to accomodate something, but then, it never, ever seems like he's forgetting that his class isn't the only one we're taking. When we **** him off, he doesn't fail to let us know. He's a practioner of tough love, in a rather gentle sense. He swears (hl, dn) and allows us to use almost any bad words except for the f-word in our drama pieces--though using the name of God in vain is off-limits. (He's a Mormon. You wouldn't really guess it, but it's a big part of his life and he takes it seriously. He's not the scarily-clean Utah-style Mormon, I guess is the thing.) He's the most demanding teacher in the school, but the senior class consistently votes him Favorite Teacher, every year. He's been honored internationally for his drama department, too. I'm going to miss him. :(

Worst teacher: 9th grade Honors English/AP English Language teacher. He gave us tons and tons of entirely meaningless busywork. Nobody took him or his class seriously. You could seriously turn in the same assignment ten times and get full credit on it every time. He didn't read them. The only way I, personally, took advantage of this was when I wrote several of my assignments in French and Spanish, and one in scrambled words. I got full credit on all of them. He didn't even mention the oddity. (I'm pretty sure I'm the only person who hasn't cheated in his classes. It truly wouldn't have mattered if I had, though [besides morally]; you didn't learn anything even if you did the homework.) I'm sure the only reason I was prepared for the AP Language test was because I was taking AP Literature at the same time from a really good teacher, who actually taught me how to do the essays and stuff.

I guess my APUSH teacher, but probably only because I love history. It is awesome.

Worst is tied between my math teacher who thinks he is god and my loca Spanish teacher.

best: calc teacher. he has awesome taste in music. its mostly oldies and i love it. plus he prepares us so well

worst: chem teacher. boring and practically plagiarizes by copying everything from the textbook

the best teacher was my English teacher...because she turned our under-decorated icebox of a classroom into a forum on philosophy, the arts, religion, politics, and above all, human creativity. we explored the american dream and the decline of civilization, of man's search for meaning and the evolution of language. i was forced to actually contemplate and think about what I trully meant, revise and revise my beliefs...

guh...there's nothing more inspiring than a phenomenal teacher. nothing at all. no clarence darrow, atticus finch, eugene debs, jack kennedy can compare to a good teacher.

Best: my former physics teacher and current engineering teacher. He has a PhD in geophysics, has taught in places as far away as Africa, and has a patent in some kind of drilling system.

Worse: my current physics teacher. He has no idea how to teach, does not adequately prepare students for tests (average grade = D), and makes a bunch of stupid jokes in class. Also, he lives in someone's basement.

BEST: AP calculus....made calculus a piece of cake

WORST: Current AP Gov class...omg. im not even exageratting when i saw he hasn't taught a single thing this year. every single day we talk aobut racism and prejudice. EVERY SINGLE DAY!

BEST: AP calculus....made calculus a piece of cake

WORST: Current AP Gov class...omg. im not even exageratting when i saw he hasn't taught a single thing this year. every single day we talk aobut racism and prejudice. EVERY SINGLE DAY!

best: my current english teacher, she may be hard, everyone might moan and groan during her class, but she really taught me alot ... considering english used to be one of my worst and hated subjects.

worst: my current chemistry teacher. honestly, she doesnt teach us CRAP. she gives us a piece of paper with random blanks, tells us the answers, and expects us to learn the stuff for the quiz the next day. and when everyone fails her tests, no she doesnt curve it, she says "you need more quizzes".
