I have a question for students, alumnae, and parents:

What are the best and worst aspects of living and learning at Haverford?

Best: people, academics, culture, campus

Best: Campus culture, the majority of people, ideals, location in the north east corridor, Bryn Mawr, friendly

Worst (sort of): Haverford sets itself up pretty high in terms of its ideals and expectations of the community. While HC is a remarkable place, these goals are unattainable. Be prepared to occasionally have your trust and faith in the community tested as one cannot expect 18-23 yo young adults (no matter how talented and thoughtful) to always act as one would hope with peers and others (hey, look at some “accomplished adults” and how they handle themselves…). For me though, these episodes also stimulated community/individual action and expressions of profound thoughtfulness and the remarkableness of HC’s community was verified each and every time. The process itself is stressful and doesn’t feel too good, especially when you are juggling a hard work load and # extracurriculars, but it’s quite a growing experience to go through with classmates.

Thank you!

That makes the school sound quite wonderful. :D
