Though it seems irrelevant to post this topic in American institute related site, but still it would be very great if anyone cooperates.

Well,i was thinking about Australia as my next study destination, but i am kinda confused that which is the BEST AUSTRALIAN LAW SCHOOL.(I was aiming at Australian National University but many of my friends told that it is having a poor Law Department and is a far better research Institute and that i should consider University of Melbourne)But after spending hours and hours of net surfing,i am still unable to have the respective information. Therefore, any help in this aspect will be much appreciated.OO Yeah, not mentioning the Sydney Institutes where the completion of a bachelor programme is a prerequisite for an LLB degree.

well go to the student room(google it) website(it's a UK forum) then scroll down to General University Discussion, then one of the sub topics is International Study, then look for "Whats The Best Uni In Australia??? ( Multi-page thread 1 2 3 4 5)

you might need to register to see it, so if you dont see it just register, then that has to be approved and can take a day or 2, good luck!

Yep,i went there and i have been trying to register and it has been a while since i have been trying and FAILING
and by the way that thread on studentroom "THE BEST UNI IN AUSTRALIA"does not state which is the best LAW SCHOOL
So,please reply smoothly if u dont know that particular answer then please keep shut

The best would be among Melbourne, Monash, and UNSW.

Any of those 3 and you can't go wrong. What speciality of Law are you interested in? Corporate law? Criminal? Constitutional?
SOme are stronger in different fields.

Thanks buddy,Kjoodles, well i am interested in criminal and corporate law but it is rather difficult to say precisely that what would be my future field??
Well buddy i am considering Monash,Unimelbourne and ANU.Amongst these institutes whose graduates are preferred at legal firms. Thanks

Melbourne is definately the best. I'm applying there as my first preference:) Their law building is all new and modern, and it's a very large department, but your scores need to be really high. Law is the second most competitive major to get in, after med... half the people in my school put down law and the other half put down med...
I would say Monash comes second, and i put that down as my second preference. But it's in the outer suburbs of Melbourne, which is a hole, and no one wants to go there, whereas Melbourne uni is in the city:D:D:D:DMelbourne is the most prestigious.

as for jobs, there is an oversupply of lawyers in Australia right now, which is why most people double major for example law/commerice, law/engineering, law/arts. These are all batchelor's degrees.
