Hi - I’d appreciate your input as to which are the best undergrad programs for Acting for Film and TV, ideally within 1-2 hour driving distance from LA. I know UCLA and USC are great but I’m looking for additional recommendations and any info you might have about audition requirements for thse programs.

You might want to check out The Relativity School in L.A. Not sure how the program is evolving, but there was a lot of excitement around it when it was launched. They offer a BFA Acting with a focus on Film/Television.
We did a lot of research - D originally only wanted film acting & only wanted to be in LA. Other than the ones already mentioned, there are very few schools that focus solely on film acting. D is now casting a wider net and has a good list of schools that have film acting included in their BFA Acting programs & are all over the country. She also has Loyola Marymount on her list - @marg928’s D is there & can give you more info. It’s a BA, but if you/your S or D wants to audition for roles outside of school, they will let you - not all schools will. As for audition requirements, every school is different, but they all want 2 monologues - mixes of classical & contemporary/comedic & dramatic.
