Best Book for the ACT?

What is the best book for prepping for the ACT? Also, does anyone know of a book that specifically preps for the ACT Science section? This is the only part of the test that isn't like other standardized tests like the SAT, so I'd think it would have its own prep book.. but I don't know of any.

And is there an ACT equivalent to the CB blue book?

The ACT company has its own book for preparing for the ACT. Can't think of the name offhand but it has 3 full practice tests in there along with all of the reasons for the answers.

is it called official act prep guide? it says it's by the act test makers but i was confused because it also says peterson's on it.

Peterson was the publisher but that book really is created by the ACT organization.

Try Kaplan or Princeton Review. You can compare them on Amazon.com

what about mcgraw hills? comes with 5 practice tests

the Real ACT Prep Guide is the best. the tests are exacatly like the real thing. Some books such as PR are much harder.

The best book to get is actually a combo of the two best books...official one and PR"s Cracking the ACT. That combo is ideal.
