Best Business Undergrad Programs in California?

Hey guys could anyone here give me a ranking and a reason or list of the top undergrad schools in California out of the cal state and UC systems. And if I had to choose a cal state, which are the few best?

BUMP, anyone?

Are you in-state? What are your stats? Here’s a few to consider:

UC Berkeley Haas
USC Marshall
UCI
UCSD
Santa Clara

For Cal States:
Cal Poly SLO
SDSU
Fullerton & Long Beach (for So Cal)
San Jose, SF or Sonoma State (for Silicon Valley & No Cal)

@arc918 I am in state, LA. UCSD is more econ and usc out of question b/c of price. I have a 4.0 through almost 50 units, but will possibly get a C in Calc 1 and I assume a C in calc 2, A in all other pre reqs though. Im worried those grades will hurt me bad, not in overall gpa much, but in pre req gpa. Also in a scholars program. If I couldnt go to uci or ucb which of the cal states are seen as more respectable or prestigious if you know?

My $.02:

Cal Poly SLO is tops for CSU business. Probably followed by SDSU and the others I listed.

With the Cal States, you’ll probably get some “regional bias” from employers as well. Even if Long Beach was considered “better” than San Jose (for example), SJSU grads will probably get hired more easily into Silicon Valley.

CP SLO is at the top of CSU list. It’s one of the top feeder schools to Apple and a handful of other Silicon Valley companies due to high ranking alumni like the CFO of Apple and Director of Hardware at Amazon Lab126.

Your GPA is slightly under the average for the college of business but if your SAT is high will balance out

@NLinsanity Im at a community college(smc, with scholars/honor program)

@arc918 Do you know much about csun at all?

I can only comment on accounting grads (my field), but over the years working in LA, the CSUN grads I knew did quite well. My sample is inherently skewed, as these were people I met working in Big 4 accounting firms.

Over the last few years, I believe CSUN has only been admitting from their service area (at least for freshmen), not sure about transfers.

Do you want to stay in LA upon graduation? As I mentioned in my previous post, I probably wouldn’t pick CSUN (or any So Cal CSU) if your goal in life to work in Silcon Valley.
