Best Byrne Seminars?

If you've ever taken a Byrne seminar that you thought was interesting, what was it? Or, do you know of any cool professors who'll be teaching a seminar in 2011?

They all mostly sound cool but I know that my brother took one relating to the environment last year and for him it was pretty boring.

I would say to go for the fun, more artsy ones. They are different every semester, so the one I took probably won’t be available. (I took one about Sondheim’s musicals - super fun.)

The science-based ones tend to be more dry, even for science majors.

some of them require you to do powerpoint presentations, or even final exams!! just be careful when you pick one
i remember there was one seminar that takes trips to the raritan river, so there are the occasional fun ones.

I’m not attending Rutgers yet (fall 2011), but I’m still choosing among:

Streetwalking in the Western Metropolis

Roof-Top Farming? Growing Our Food Where We Live

New Brunswick Restaurant Crawl

The Evolution of Food, Plants, and Cooking

Texting and Sexting: Growing Up in the Digital Age

The Meaning of Video-Gaming

Anyone take any of these yet? I don’t wanna make a bad choice and be stuck with it for two and a half months haha.

they change each semester, but new brunswick restaurant crawl seems very interesting  texting and sexting seems like a more specialized research-y topic, so it might be boring,

An eating seminar? Gosh, if I was a freshman, I’d be all over that. Haha.

thanks for the advice! the one science-y seminar i’m consider is about fish conservation…that might be the raritan river one. but i’m definitely into the new brunswick restaurant crawl too haha
