Best CC to transfer into Umich

<p>I want to transfer into Umich for aero engineering after 2 yrs of cc. I am currently a senior at a high school in California and am planning on going to cc in Michigian in order to gain residency and take advantage of the drastically lower in state tuition, as well as escape my parents hahaa. Are there any cc's in Michigian with something like an articulation agreement with Umich or at least a comparatively high transfer rate? Also how strict are the community colleges with residency. In other words, what will I have to do in order to qualify for state tuition and how long will it take? Any input will help :)</p>

<p>You can’t gain residency just by going to CC for two years. The residency requirements explicitly say this. In general, your state of residency is your parents’ as long as you’re fafsa dependent. </p>

<p>The residency requirements for Michigan are strict. The residency requirements for CCs are generally not as strict but it varies by CC. You will NOT get residency through this plan.</p>
