Best chances for UCLA or Berkeley?

<p>Berkeley rejected me, but I am offered admission to NYU, Binghamton, and UC Santa Cruz.</p>

<p>California is the dream, but stupid me only applied for Berkeley on my UC app. Santa Cruz e-mailed me later saying they see my interest in UCs and offered me a spot. </p>

<p>Should I play it safe and go to Santa Cruz, where at least I'll be in California?
Is there a better chance to transfer into UCLA or Berkeley if I attend NYU or Bing my first year? If so, which school?</p>

<p>Sorry to be blunt, but you would be making a big mistake if you chose UC Santa Cruz over NYU. I don’t see what you mean by “California is the dream”. It’s just a state, like any other.</p>
