Best Classes At Cornell?

Hey Everyone,

I've pretty much decided that I'm going to take AP credit for second semester intro biology. I have either an A or A- (ranked 5 or above out of 40 for lab, and just scored more than 1.5 SDs above the mean on the last bio exam), but it's a ton of work for 4 credits, and I'm really not learning anything new. My AP class was pretty much identical, with the exception of the scientific writing that was done in lab (but that was pretty much the same as my high school research course).

So, since I'm going to major in biological engineering, I will be taking Computer Science 100 next semester instead.

I think this will allow me to take an elective of my choosing, because I don't think com sci will be as time consuming as bio.

So I'm looking for a good elective. What was the best course that you've ever taken at cornell?

I'd like to fulfill a liberal studies requirement, so non-science is prefered, but I would take another science course if it was a class I shouldn't miss.

If I don't find another course I will take spanish, since I want to learn more, and it's probably better I take it before I forget everything I learned in high school.

Thanks!

or any other class with Peter Holquist.

Edit: CS projects can be MUCH more time consuming that any regular class work, especially if you are unfamiliar with CS (although CS 100 isn't bad because alot of non-CS people take it).

an easy A+ is the american indian 100, where only like 5 students get lower than an A+. i haven't taken it, but my friend said that it's easy. i dunno, so maybe AIS 101 is easy too? dunno, couldn't find the median grade report for it.

the best courses i took were all in the fall semester, sorry.

what type of stuff are you interested in? then you can recieve more pointed recommendations.
