Best College Commerical???

What school do you think has the best recruitment commerical? I have seen a lot during football/basketball games on television.

I personally think Penn State has one of the best because it makes you want to go there.

I haven't seen any commercials for colleges unless you count Devry, Mercy, Gibbs etc.

However, I love love love Bennington's mail spam thingy. Very nice artwork and presentation. (I think I might hang it up even though i didnt apply :D) They also give out maple syrup apparently when you get accepted! :D

The University of Michigan ones always affected me. There's one where they have doctors curing people and kids are walking for the first time and it has the fight song going. Quite touching. The other one is about space and the Apollo 15 mission that was all Umich grads. You gotta feel cool if you go to Umich the only two flags on the moon are the US flag and the U of Michigan flag

haha, check this out:

^ Why didn't I see that before?!

Now I want to go there. lol. j/k.

Bwahahah, that is one of the worst and yet most fulfilling commercials for a school I have ever seen. I think I am going to have to beg my parents for one more check for an application fee!

This is my favorite:

http://www.berkeley.edu/news/media/releases/2005/01/13_peptalk.shtml

hmm those usc commercials that played during their home games on tv, and during the rose bowl were awesome. they showed the history made by usc alums and the tradition of the university. come on, george lucas, neil armstrong and all of those other alums, who wouldnt be proud of usc?

"Solid as a rock
proud as a peacock"
Haha bigblue now I want to go there too

the first time I saw that, I couldn't stop laughing. It's just unbelievable how funny it is, just because it's supposed to seriously persuade people to go there.
Just remember, Appalachain State is HOT HOT HOT

I love the flaming subtitles for "HOT HOT HOT"...

wow, the appalachian commercial is way to funny. wow... i wonder if they get more or less applications because of that thing.

LOL!!!!

HOT HOT HOT.... (guitar solo)!

There's this one where the chick's like "Do you draw all the time? Have a portfolio? Then you're already thinking like an artist/chef/fashiondesigner!"

I swear. They use the same script but put in a different major each time. Can't remember what school (comm college)

there's this oen for Devry where it has some chick getting ready for a date and then clips of her at some job and then she goes on her date ad at the end it says "be a paralegal" or something. Then they have another commercial only with a dude and it's the same dude who's dating the other chick. Their smiles are too fake.

Then on G4 (used to atleast) there's this one that's like:
dudes playing videogame yeah! yeah! cool!
lady walks in Have you finished your work?
boy: serious face We've almost finished analyzing the chtouaweadf wutever. We're almost done.
lady: big smile great!
boy: See, I told you this is an awesome job
boy2: and my mom told me videogames would get me no where!

It reminded me of the very first videogame commercial. You know, then one with the "cool" kid and the UBER geek and they're playing nntendo or something. It was crappy and made me laugh.

just wondering, why are most college commercials of different quality than regular commercials? like, they don't seem as professionally editted as regular advertising commercials.

Appalachain State is HOT HOT HOT

ahaha

I'm with chibears, although obviously I'm biased.

The commercial he's referring to was really created for the Capital Campaign. It's 60 seconds long.

It opens with a little kid in a sudsy bathtub wearing goggles and a shampoo mohawk, and he's got a big scar on his chest from open heart surgery. It also shows a woman putting on her makeup with a prosthetic arm. The ad profiles 22 other people, some patients who have had their lives saved by Michigan's health system, along with staff, medical students, etc. It's a neat take on who the "conquering heroes" are, and I always stop to watch the whole thing when it comes on.

Not the same thing as the ad, but here are some of the people profiled.

That's absolutely awesome.
I like when they show the crowd of football fans and there is one black guy in the whole section making a hilarious face

I also enjoyed
"Students and teachers, best in the country..."

What we have here is the official promotional video of Appalachian State University for prospective students and parents. Production-wise, it ranks just below the PowerPoint production of the Trail of Tears I did when I was fifteen that swooped various pictures of crying Cherokee from the bottom of the screen to racecar noises, and just above that weird episode of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon in which Raphael has a New York accent. But what it loses in professionalism and adequacy, it more than compensates for in the amount of time you will spend waiting for it to download.

The video opens with a title sequence that was likely created with the help of WordArt and features a crimson meteorite throttling toward Earth and threatening to low-res it to death. What follows is a tragically short list of reasons why Appalachian State University is "Hot, Hot, Hot!". By deciding to make the entire thing what is, in essence, a slideshow, the video producers didn't really take advantage of the medium of the moving picture. A prestigious, industrious university such as Appalachian State surely could have invested the time and money into a camera and some film hours, so the only remaining explanation for this is that somewhere within the confines of Appalachian State University, Max Payne is diving headlong into something.
