Which college has the best dorms?

I’m always suspect of rankings that generalize by campus on this question. Most colleges have some great dorm rooms and some that are gross.

It depends what you are looking for. Amenities? Size? Type of room? Location in relation to campus? Dorm life? There are so many factors that it’s almost impossible to determine.

Washington University in St. Louis.

Okay, good point. WashU would definitely top my list.

Some of the dorms at GW are great.
I have heard that the honors dorms at U of Alabama are pretty impressive.

Wash U has some niiice dorms

True…and they have “non-honors” ones that are exactly the same.

I think Johnson & Wales has pretty good dorms. Prime location in downtown Providence and 3 blocks from the mall… The school also signed a contract to house students in new, luxury townhouses which are also located in the downtown area. The townhouses have hardwood floors, granite counters, stainless steel appliances, etc. Everyone has their own separate room as well along with bathrooms. I think it costs around $7000 without food costs since they have their own full kitchen. The regular dorms are pretty good as well since they are all somewhat new and got rid of the old ones.

loyola MD
oh my they are lovely

What about High Point U? I heard they were awesome.

smith college. all the girls live in mansions and have live-in nannies/cleaning people and rooms are big and nice.

WashU topsmy list

Amherst had nice dorms (at least the ones they show you on the tour)

rice had some amazing freshmen dorms! But it depends which res college you’re in, others aren’t as great. But the one I stayed in was suite style with a nice common room

Yea, and probably at High Point you can order room service. :D

High Point’s facilities are excellent, but they have a reputation for not being that academic.

Of the schools I visited, Reed and Bowdoin had really nice dorms.

Pomona and Princeton, apparently

Emory has built four new freshman dorms for this incoming year’s students… They are apparently really nice.
