Hi everyone,

I'm applying to colleges for the fall of 2011, I'm aiming Ivy, but I was wondering, what are the best colleges, in your opinion, for a prospective English/South Asian Studies major? Which colleges offer South Asian studies? And which schools are best reputed for English?

My top choices at this point are Harvard and Columbia. I think they're the best fit. Yes they are very different colleges, but hey, I can fit in at more than one place. To be honest, I think I'd prefer Columbia over Harvard. Am I making a wise choice with these schools for my intended majors, or should I seriously be considering others as well? I'm looking for a college that has top notch faculty in my prospective fields. I know that at Ivies, you really have to try to get the attention of faculty as an undergrad but I'm a persistent person. I really just want to be at a place where I can learn. The Harvard/Columbia choice will of course come down to what I end up getting into, if I get into neither, then I guess I'll have to choose somewhere else, but for now, I kind of want to know which one is better for me.
