Best Dorm for Stern Freshmen

What's the best dorm for stern freshmen students? Is there a specific dorm in which sternies tend to reside? I was debating b.w Hayden and Founders. Any advice is appreciated.

I had the same question.

Nope it’s all over the place. I live in Goddard with a bunch of sternies (my roomie is also one).

The dorms aren’t really separated by schools. You will have people from all fields living in your building, floor, and more often than not with you. Although, you typically will be living in a room with people who are in a similar field, or have common interests.

also are dorms given out randomly? Do early decision students get priority over regular students? How hard is it to room with a friend?

Thanks for all the help.

I there is a housing lottery, I think.
ED students DO get priority over RD students, which is why Hayden tends have a large number of EDers.
You can just request to room with your friend and he/she must request to room with you and I think you are put together in most cases.

I’m basing this on what I’ve read in older threads. Correct me if I am wrong.

@ Ohboi Yes

@ alnico You fill out a questionnaire which details your living habits, and general thoughts and interests. Then they pair you up with people that are compatible. They do a pretty good job most of the time…
