Which of the three schools, Harvard-Yale-Princeton, have the best dorms?

Just fyi, Princeton's dorms have drastically changed over the last few years. For starters, Butler does not even exist anymore and the new Whitman college really puts any dormitory anywhere to shame (you just have to see it). Meanwhile, most of the older dormitories have been renovated now. Princeton is definitely not a B- anymore. :)

the info is obviously a bit outdated then so don't take it as set in stone AY888 :)

thanks for the update PimpDaddy1 do you go to princeton?

I go to Princeton, volleysnap, and I live in the new Whitman college. Whitman is truly a sight to behold, and the dining hall food is much better than at most other colleges I have eaten at. The University renovated and improved the Rocky/Mathey and Wilcox dining halls also, in order to keep up with the food in Whitman.

The Whitman rooms are at least as good as what I saw at Harvard. They are spacious and modern, with high quality furniture. I have never gone inside a room at Yale. I agree that some of the other dorms could stand some improvement, though, particularly in the Forbes addition. As somebody mentioned, the bathroom situation is not that good in most dorms, unless you have a bathroom in your room.

No offense AY8888 but you seem to have the most bizarre means of selecting colleges ever. And you're limiting your selection to an awfully selective bunch..

Calm down, ilovebagels. The OP was simply asking a question. He/she didn't say that they were using dorms as a "means of selecting colleges," or that those three schools were the only schools they were considering.

Well, if I was accepted at all of HYP, dorm quality might not be a bad selection criterion...

The fact that you can't pick your dorm at Yale is, in my opinion, a virtue. The idea is that you are part of a smaller residential college community from freshman year on. Each college is (more or less) a cross-section of the University as a whole. When two Yale alums meet, one of the first questions you will hear is, "What college were you in?"

Yale's housing is actually much better now! I've never heard of power outages or the like. Yale has also spent millions of dollars renovating each college, and the cycle is almost done! Most colleges are now shiny, new, and beautiful on the inside, as well as the outside! The housing here is GREAT.

There are freshmen dorms at Harvard that are a dump and also incredibly small.
