So I just got my acceptance letter to Pitt, and of course, I'm already thinking about moving in next year. I think I'd prefer a single, so I was wondering which building has the nicest singles--biggest rooms, good location on campus, etc.

There are only two dorms with singles for freshman: Tower C (central campus, very convenience, pie-slice room) and Lothrop (few blocks away from central campus, up a slight hill, bigger rooms). HOWEVER, by the time you start at Pitt, the BRAND NEW dorm should be complete, and even if it’s not singles, I would HIGHLY recommend checking it out, as it will be undoubtedly the NICEST dorm on campus.

You think they’ll be available for freshmen?

From what I understand, the new dorm is specifically for freshman. [Pitt Chronicle Freshman Housing Project Filled With Sustainable Features and, It Is Hoped, a Sense of Home](http://chronicle2.pitt.edu/?p=9868)

Great! Thank you!!

The new dorm will have triples and communal bathrooms.
