Best Dorms for freshman

What are the best dorms for freshman? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

-Rawlings is centrally located–close to Turlington, Century Tower, the Hub, etc. around where most of your freshmen classes will be.
-Broward is behind Rawlings, also centrally located, next to Chick Fil A Express and Broward Dining. Known as the “Party Dorm,” a lot of Greeks live here and it’s quite loud.
-Jennings is down the road from the above two dorms, also pretty convenient.
-Murphree area (Sledd, Thomas, Fletcher, and Murphree) were built in the early 1900s to the 1930s. Odd layout owing to the age of the buildings. Lots of character. Close to stadium and Midtown, so it gets loud on the weekends.
-Graham area (Graham, Trusler, Simpson) is my favorite. You’re a block from the freshmen parking garage ( on Gale Lemerand Dr), across the street from the Reitz, close to bus stops that will take you to the Hub, Frat Row is down the road, and you have a POD Market and Chomp IT in this area. Pretty quiet, except on game days, because the stadium is only a couple blocks north.

@Icgusa Thanks so much!

@lcgusa Is the graham area pretty social?

-Tolbert area (North, East, Tolbert, Weaver) is right next to Graham. Right next to Gator Corner Dining Center and across the street from the O’Connell Center and the stadium. Tolbert is the ROTC dorm, Weaver is where the international students live, and I believe East is the engineering LLC. There is a pool between the Graham and Trusler area. Tolbert area also has an annual mudfest every fall semester. Also a good area, imho.

@herosaurus17 it really depends on the year you live there and the floor you live on. Some floors are more social than others, and it changes from year to year as new kids move in. I would say the kids in Graham area are pretty outgoing.
