BEST DORMS IN USC? advice!

NEW NORTH is where the party is at, no joke, live there. everyone who is there has more fun than i think should be allowed...

I have a feeling that Birnkrant is so popular that a lot of us that put it as our #1 won't get it...=(

anyone requesting roommates (from your hs)? still pondering if I should...

ouch. just got my financial aid package. who said USC gives generous aid again?

hah. hah. totally kidding.

I heard birnkrant has all night study room (which would be nice incase my roommate would want to sleep), music practice lounge (do they have pianos?), workout room, etc etc.

Does new/north have anything close to this? I really want the all night study room in the dorm.. if not, how long is the library open and since birnkrant and new/north are close, could i walk there? And also, are they anygood? (like.. are they clean and not gross...?)

I kind of hope i signed up for birnkrant as my first choice instead... I put new/north which i think i'll enjoy

I don't know about Birnkrant/New/North, but there are pianos in many buildings on campus, and I wouldn't be surprised if there were also a workout room. Leavey Library is open 24 hours a day, and is easily within walking distance of New/North/Birnkrant. The library is reasonable: it's not dirty, but not always very clean, and sometimes very crowded.

where/when do we fill out our roomate applications?? Is that before or after you get the residence hall?

Birnkrant/New/North has at least 1 study lounge per floor. The lobby of North has a piano and private practice room. New has ping-pong and a TV. No workout room though, but you're really close to EVK and Trojan Grounds.

You'll get your roommate questionnaire after you've turned in your housing application. I personally don't think they're that accurate though.
