i agree with mass hall. nice and small, and it's right in the court yard so if you stick your head out the window, tourists will take pictures of you :-p :)

I live in grays, and love it. The bedrooms are smallish, but since the common room is big enough for the desks, it isn't bad at all.

The worst dorm at harvard is still exponentially better than the best dorms at many other places.

I live in Wigg (I'm actually in sunglasses's entryway right now, waiting for my laundry to launder), and I love it... But I was at a party in Canaday on Friday, talking to another Wigger who said he thought it was the worst frosh dorm (not because of room size or anything, but becuase there's not that much dorm unity).

Dorm life is what you make of it... There's always something you can complain about (the architecture, the walk, the washing machines, the T running below you, the president working below you, etc), but the big picture is very bright. I've heard that overall, frosh housing is comparable to junior housing (ie most soph. rooms are smaller).

Anyway, my favorites are probably Wigg and Holworthy (beautiful, big common rooms!), but that's probably because those are the two places I spend the most time.

its the last stop on the tour

The tours sometimes end at Lowell House, which is brick and has a grassy courtyard. It's an upperclass house. But the tour guides are allowed to use some discretion in designing what they think is the best tour, so it's hard to know what building you're describing.

A lot of Canaday residents love it, especially since they often get single rooms.
