I am going to apply at a MBA program. What's the best GMAT book to study with?

Get the official guide. It contains about 400 actual questions of each type. It does not contain a lot of test taking strategies, but for practicing the problems (which is the real key to doing well, I think), it can't be beat.

Manhattan review is known to be the best..

I felt Princeton Review was the best for strategies, but would also use Kaplan 800. I would also get the official guide because it has so many problems in it.

Im studying to take it again, as I want to apply to a program like Cornell HRM or Kennedey school of gov't when I'm done with my MBA. I have a big problem with all the prep books. I just started with Kaplin 800 because I took the GMAT 2 years ago and scored a 670, but am now rusty. The questions in this book are pretty tough.

From what I remember, NONE of the books will get you much above a 90%tile on the quant. I studied so hard and used several books for the GRE math and wound up with a 740 (~83%tile). None-None of the boks broached the subjects of series and progressions that came up on the test. That is so frustrating that no book will teach this material!!! If you want to break 90%tile, learn to do progression problems on your own. I am finding Google great for finding this info.

I also have the the book from the GMAC on the way from Amazon. Try this site: TestMagic - Test Prep It is a great resource. Also, don't forget to download the 2 retired GMATs from the GMAT website. Good Luck!
