I have couple questions that I want to know before I declare a major.

What is the most
stress-free job,
most paying job
for business majors?

I want to work either as an accountant or a financial advisor. Which classes should I take in college to get a job in either field?

Are there any other careers that you guys recommend?

Thanks in advance!

Stress-free and the most paying??? I don’t think these adjectives go well together…

“I want to work either as an accountant or a financial advisor. Which classes should I take in college to get a job in either field?”

You need to major in either accounting/finance. A bachelors degree in either field is a prerequisite for those jobs, not the classes.

An entry-level “financial advisor” is pretty much a salesman. Trust me, no sales job is going to be even close to stress free. You should look into accounting, but don’t expect to make a lot of money or really go anywhere in life if one of your goals is to avoid stress.

Sorry for not making this clear. I meant stress free job and most paying job. (two separate jobs) Of course I know that there are no jobs that have both of those qualities and I’m ready to work hard.

And can’t financial advisor work at a company/firm?

Yes, you can work at a company/firm as a financial advisor, but you will still be selling financial products. Are you thinking of “financial analyst”?

well, that was my third choice. I am reading a lot about both of them. If I do not have a great sales pitch, would I better off with financial analyst?
