<p>thingslost, maybe you missed out on the whole controversy surrounding Florida. Basically, a recount was called because Bush was only estimated to be ahead by a few hundred votes, and not all absentee ballots had been counted. But then the recount got cancelled by Florida's republican governor who also happened to be Bush's younger brother, Jeb. It was a big deal.</p>

<p>It's not the state's fault. It's the governor's. Giving Florida to Cuba would not solve anything. Besides, Cuba is technically a territory of the United States.</p>

<p>I did not agree with all of President Bush's politics, but that is going to happen with every president. I think that he had to deal with many complicated situations, and had alot of pressure to act. Also, does anybody else hear realize that the president of the USA does not have that much power. Checks and Balances. I am not saying that one should have to like or agree with ANY president, but one should at least have the deciency to respect the man who is the leader of America.</p>
