<p>How about this compromise, just my humble opinion:
-Abortion should be legal but discouraged (kind of like smoking each abortion clinic should have giant posters of what happens to aborted babies >=) </p>
<p>-Abortion shouldn't be state provided unless harming the mother or caused by rape (to prove this a lot of paperwork is needed, but hey stimulus for the economy :D)</p>
<p>-Or better yet, don't live for debauchery;yes sex is a natural thing but you have to take precautions. Think about the consequences, is it really worth it for a one-night stand? Can you support the baby? Is this person someone you care about and if it ends up someone you want to be the father of your child? Or for you guys out there, is this really worth paying child support for 18 years?</p>

<p>That's true they do, but that's what the morning after pill is for, to be double safe; and if you get pregnant by using both; well then you're just very very very unlucky. Anyways you're right that some people shouldn't have kids but that's what child services/ other institutions are for.</p>

Anyways one last comment, about this topic; so what if it causes pain, in the eyes of a future abusive mother (see I'm using the example you gave) it's either that or having a kid you don't want. I don't know about America, but in Canada we have something called Plan B it's not an abortion pill, merely a way to prevent fertilization; as if taken within 72 hours it prevents fertilization. And it clearly states if you're already pregnant that it wouldn't work.</p>
