I would say a great, reliable job would be accounting. I am attending Binghamton University and the amount of accounting recruiters from here is unbelievable. There is basically a job waiting for you once you graduate, if you make it happen of course.

Go to various university web sites and put “career survey” in the search box and see what comes up.

Berkeley, Cal Poly SLO, and Virginia Tech have particularly detailed career survey reports, although they are obviously limited to majors that they offer.

Accounting isn’t really sitting behind a desk all day counting beans. That’s how it used to be, sure, but every professional accountant I’ve met seems to at least somewhat enjoy their job.

I know exactly what you’re talking about, but not every CS major is like that. There are plenty who aren’t.

^ Oh I know. Just a higher concentration of those types of kids in CS as opposed to ME or something.

Art History

@PurpleDuckMan

You’d be surprised now that CS is more of a mainstream major. The M/F ratio I would say is close to 70/30 or even 60/40 now. More normal people.

Electrical

engineering.

Not

that

hard

to

understand.

^^Disregard. Roommate jacked my computer haha

Well then you get to talking about females in CS…

To not attack the numbers you must have not taken any CS classes. Not exaggerating, it’s more like 90/10 here.

^yeah that ratio did seem off haha.

Thanks everyone for the help. I really want to know if comptuer science will be difficult for me. You have to spend a lot of time on it and you basically have to teach yourself and the classes move at a fast pace, don’t know if i can handle it working at the same time. I’m relaly thinking about economics and math. Where should I start for computer science?

Anyone? lol
