Best Movies Ever

March of the Penguins!! :)

Good Girl (probably Jenā€™s only good movie), Shawshank (My dad shows us alot of movies;one of my faves), Social Network (story of betrayal and great sound editing)

Sheā€™s the Man is my favorite - I can pretty much recite it. I still laugh, every time.

I love this thread haha! So much Leo Dicaprio love in hereā€¦

mmmm Leo. <3. Heā€™s playing Gatsby in the remake thatā€™s coming out in a year or so.

Most recently, ā€œWhoā€™s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?ā€ even though itā€™s an old movie.

Itā€™s kind of like Revolutionary Road, but funnier. I loved Liz Taylor and Richard Burton.

^That movie is ****ing brilliant. Has to be one of my favourites.

-Inception is brilliant! Am I the only one who thinks the whole cast is amazingly attractive?
-LOTR trilogy=pure win. The movie visuals, sound, etc. are just beautiful(ly epic).
-Gladiator. I love historical epic movies in general, but this was just the best.
-Red Eye-Cillian Murphy and Rachel McAdams in the same movie, and with great chemistry (Sunshine is another great one with Cillian, but itā€™s sooooo underrated)
-Tangled, Up, Monsters Inc. (awaiting that sequelā€¦), Lion King, Mulan, Aladdin, Disney!

I donā€™t usually like old movies very much. I also wish I had an exotic indie film or two in there to make me seem more cultured and unique, since most of these are popular, well-known films. Oh vell.

Iā€™m not hugely into movies, but Panā€™s Labyrinth is probably my favorite one ever.

my favorites are Seven Pounds, the color purple, and all Miyazaki films (hence My Neighbor totoro, Ponyo, etcā€¦).

I also thought Kill Bill was awesome

Kill Bill has a killer soundtrack.

No, but seriously, it does.

^totally agree

rrcjmcandless : Yeah I did hear about Gatsby! Itā€™s like a CC dream, haha. And Cary Mulligan is in it too apparently? Excited!!! :)

@randomazn14- I totally forgot about that movie! I remember it was my favorite horror movie, without it being too scary.

And yes on the Inception part ;)

RIP Sidney Lumet. He was such an amazing great director.

I love love love Miyazaki films ^

Having just finished watching it again, I have to say that the Star Wars Original Saga is awesome. I think they did a much better job with their actual moviemaking back when they didnā€™t have CGI to cheat with.

The fact that the Rebelsā€™ computer can analyze the detailed blueprints of a moon-sized space station in mere minutes but can do no better than simple vector graphics to display the results still cracks me up, though.

Your Highness looks promising. Look up the R trailer.

Yeah I just watched the Your Highness trailerā€¦I love Natalie Portman and James FRanco, so it looks promising I think. But it could have really weird humor in it, I donā€™t know. Iā€™ll probably just wait till DVD for that oneā€¦

Yes, RIP Lumet. Directed two of my favorites, ā€œNetworkā€ and ā€œ12 Angry Men.ā€ Watched ā€œDog Day Afternoonā€ this morning in his honor.

Some favorites in general:

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Fargo
Donnie Darko
Requiem for a Dream
Spirited Away
There Will Be Blood
The Sixth Sense
Pulp Fiction
The Silence of the Lambs
The Royal Tenenbaums
Vertigo
Annie Hall
Fight Club
Children of Men
The Best Years of Our Lives
One Flew Over the Cuckooā€™s Nest

All are HIGHLY recommended.
