What are the best schools for Music? I play the trombone and piano. I'm looking for a school with a concert band, jazz band, and private lessons.

i heard Bodwell High School has a pretty sick music program. check it out [Bodwell High School](http://www.bodwell.edu/) this is their admissions video [YouTube - What the heck is Bodwell?](<a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube)

interlochen comes up pretty often, as well as idyllwild and walnut hill

Sorry I didn’t make myself clear. I meant to say out of the top 25 or so boarding schools which have the best music programs?

oh, i see
well SPS has an outstanding music program, from what i’ve heard

SPS and Groton have an absolutely incredible choral program. And both of their music programs are top notch. Middlesex is probably good if you want to take private lessons in more than one instrument.

ok, thanks

Hotchkiss has a tremendous music program and an incredible music auditorium. (Lewis Lapham, who is a THS graduate and the former editor of “Harper’s Magazine”, said, for better or worse, that " Hotchkiss, like Yale, like Harvard, is about setting wealth to music".)

Yeah I’m applying to Hotchkiss I’m looking forward to visiting and checking it out

During my interview with a Deerfield representative, she asked me why I wasn’t applying for Hotchkiss since it had a very good music department. You should probably try Hotchkiss.
