Best Naval Parents site?

I know there are several sites out there for parents of mids at the Naval Academy. Which one is the best or do they offer different things? There are a number of choices.

The "official" parents' web site tends to be friendlier and more chit-chatty in its information. The web-site is efficient, somewhat sparse, and the photo uploading is a bit more cumbersome; the photo-downloading, however, is much better. Questions tend to be answers quickly and it is a great resource to obtain last-minute tickets to football games. As a listserve, this site is probably best.

An alternative, widely-visited site tends be monitored a bit more sternly by the webmaster; he tends to lecture parents a bit more and his information can be a bit dated since he and his wife do not currently have a child at the academy, nor are they provided "official" pronouncements. The information provided, however, tends to be more wide-reaching: Everything from how to get a yard pass to what to bring on I-day. As a quick-reference, this site is probably better.

I use them both, just for different reasons.

I have found USNA-Net at http://usna.org the most overall useful.

heartcross,

Do you think any site could be more valuable than cc? ;)

Well, I've been finding myself with lots of time on my hands waiting for lambs to be born in blizzard conditions--so have been doing lots of surfing... ;-) It's really hard to stay awake at 3:00 w/o someone to talk to!
