best new england schools for elementary ed majors

Well...just when I thought we were done....here we go again!
My daughter is currently a student at RWU. She initialy was enrolled in there arch program but has switched to elementary ed. She really enjoyed her courses this past semester. She is in their honors program and currently receiving a 15,000 scholarship.

The problem is she is just not happy. She had a terrible start but has definitely settled down. She plans to return in the fall but my gutt feel is she would be better somewhere else. Not sure why this school is not a good fit. She is a swimmer and being part of a team was fun. Just seems that there are just not enough kids (like her) there.

When we did the initial search for college is was for art/arch. Now that she is elementary ed I almost feel we should do the search again.

She is an excellent student and got into Trinity, Skidmore, Conn College during the first round.

She definitly wants to stay close to home (boston area) and may actually just commute to school.

My thoughts for schools to look at are BC, TUFTS, Salem State as I believe they all have excellent Ed programs. She doesn't want a big school which is spread out like BU.

Any and all feedback is welcome!
