Freshmen in college here. I'm looking at the best "virtual" free note-taking software. I've used a trial of one note (on mu pc) and found it acceptable.

So which one is the best free one for osx? I'm looking at evernote, growly notes, and nVALT 2.0. I don't have time to experiment with each app and find my best fit. Instead, I want to pick one and stick with it.

Please help CC!

I just downloaded Evernote, which got pretty good reviews. Sorry if that didn’t really help.

I like evernote and google docs. I like both because you can access them where ever you go, which is important to me (and yes I use this often)

bump for more opinions.

I use Evernote on Windows 7 right now.

useful, i should say.

I love evernote. If you have an iphone, you can sync the (free) app with your computer app and take your notes all over the place.

Has anyone used circus pony notetaker? I like how it records along w/ the notes but it is kinda pricey.

Thanks for the feedback. Evernote it is :D
