Was Anthem a good one to use yesterday?

Walden by Thoreau: Just about anything...

I have used the Great Gatsby for every essay, I love that book. mmm especially for materialism, dreams, etc. Of Mice and Men also works with the dreams thing

I used Huck Finn too

do you HAVE to refer to novels in your essays? Can't you simply refer to life experiences or something?

howd u use kite runner? I was going to use great gatsby yesterday, but i used historical events throughout i.e. industrial revolution, independence, and black movement for the identity one

omg i used 1984 and brave new world in yesterday's SAT essay writing portion...hahaha. hopefully whoever reads my essay doesn't know too much about the novels...

you dont HAVE to do anything. i've seen 12s that are 3 anecdotes, i've seen 12s with no examples at all. novels/parts of history tend to HELP and generally improve scores.

also, dont worry about details. you can make **** up if you forget details and it doesnt matter, as long as it contributes nicely to your point and you explain it as such.

chk out the plot overviews.

a lesson before dying: what it means to be a man (used it on the identity essay)

On Saturday I wrote about A Clockwork Orange and 1984 being original because their authors used linguistic manipulation to exhibit themes in an original and thought-provoking manner. Nadsat, created by Burgess to use by Alex and his droogs in ACO stresses an inherent alienation between the young and old generations (an allusion to the increasingly prevalent '50s and early '60s counterculture in Britain). Newspeak, created by Orwell, just furthers the idea of complete reality control by the Party.

I was so passionate about that essay...I ****ing love linguistics and philosophy, but just after I finished my first body (just finished the first page), my teacher said there was only five minutes left :(.

The Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison

the clincher right there

bump bump bump
